The Wire EDM Machinist has experience of programming, running and controlling Wire Electrical Discharge Machine.
Responsibilities:
- Setup, program and operate the wire EDM properly.
- Fabricate machinery parts and fixtures per given specifications.
- Produce and deliver high quality punches, dies and tools as requested.
- Inspect all machined parts and conduct QA activities.
- Select and utilize a variety of inspection and measurement tools like gauges and micrometers.
- Clean the wire EDM and perform preventive maintenance on a regular basis.
- Maintain a clean work area to assure a safe working environment.
- Monitor and maintain inventory stock of tools and supplies as needed.
Experience:
High school or technical school diploma, milling experience is a plus, Basic wire and Basic g code. (G54 G00 X0,y,0) an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have all personal tools required to perform routine machining tasks and inspections (calipers, set up blks, wrenches)
