Job DescriptionIndustrial Electro‑Mechanical Maintenance Technician

When you start your shift at our Columbus facility, you step into the heartbeat of production. You move from a hydraulic forging press to a combustion furnace, diagnose a servo drive alarm, and then log precise notes so the next teammate knows exactly what changed. Uptime, safety, and craftsmanship are your north stars.

What you will do

  • Keep facilities and production equipment in safe, reliable working order.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on heavy manufacturing assets, including mechanical and hydraulic forging presses (up to 2,500 tons), combustion furnaces, CNC saws, shot blast systems, and supporting auxiliary equipment.
  • Execute preventive maintenance according to established schedules and procedures.
  • Document preventive work, repairs, parts usage, and project activities with clear, complete records.
  • Communicate and record daily breakdowns and planned corrective actions.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to root cause.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, servo, and drive systems.
  • Enter work orders and data into the maintenance system promptly and accurately.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you will bring

  • 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in a machine repair and troubleshooting environment.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drive systems.
  • Fundamental mechanical, welding, and cutting abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints and schematics.
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Competent meter use and accurate measurement skills.
  • Understanding of and commitment to LOTO and safe work practices.

Work environment

  • Location: On site at our Columbus facility.
  • Physical demand: May occasionally lift automotive components up to 15 pounds.
  • Schedules available: Third Shift S–Th 11:00 PM–7:15 AM; Weekend Shift B F–S 7:00 PM–7:00 AM; some overtime or weekends may be necessary.
