JAG Healthcare is now hiring an Activities Director for our Activities Department! We are looking for a full time employee offering flexible scheduling, with 30-40 hours per week.
JAG Healthcare has 45-beds giving it a homelike feel for our residents. This quaint environment also provides our staff the opportunity to spend meaningful time with their residents without rushing from one room to the next. Activities Director Responsibilities & Qualifications: (Include but not limited to)
- STNA (not required, but preferred)
- Activities Director will implement and adjusted activities based on resident input and residents' changes in abilities, physical and mental status. Activities shall be scheduled for day time, weekend, evening, and include the community to the extent possible.
- Design and implement daily and special event schedules (e.g., bingo, music therapy, pet visits, movie nights, community outings).
- Facilitate activities to encourage socialization, mental stimulation (puzzles, memory games), physical activity, and spiritual fulfillment.
- Conduct resident interviews and assessments to tailor programs to individual interests and needs.
- Train, supervise, and schedule assistants and volunteers who help run activities.
- Work with other departments (nursing, social work) to align activities with care plans.
- Ensure activities meet federal and state requirements for resident care.
