Job DescriptionMechanical Design Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Dayton, OH
Salary: $85K - $100K (DOE)
Employment Type: Full-Time / On-Site

Key Responsibilities:

- Execute mechanical design for specialized custom automation equipment and machinery
- Develop and update mechanical models and assemblies using 3D CAD software
- Create and maintain BOMs for mechanical components/machining
- Revise existing designs as needed
- Contribute to new, clean-sheet design initiatives.
- Ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery of engineering projects.
- Mentor junior design engineers and support their technical development.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external clients to ensure alignment and project success.
- Uphold engineering standards, company policies, and ISO quality/environmental procedures.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 4 years of experience designing automated process equipment.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD platforms
- Solidworks, Draftsight, Adobe Illustrator
- Understanding of physics, fluid dynamics, and mechanical engineering principles (Helpful).
- Experience with ERP systems
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Exposure to Six Sigma, ISO audits, Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, or other C/I methodologies (helpful).
- Working knowledge of FEA and CFD is a plus.
