Job Summary:
Liberty Tire Recycling is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic. As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you would be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing, and repairing our company's equipment at our facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct and document preventive maintenance on industrial equipment and other machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on company's equipment.
- Inspect and repair manufacturing machines as required.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work.
- Collaborate with other team members to improve equipment efficiency and reliability.
- Other duties as needed.
- Complies and follows ALL Company Safety Rules and Local & State Regulations.
- Inspects, Maintains building, grounds, and Equipment
- Handles all necessary repairs as needed.
- Follows Written and Verbal Directions.
- Ability to Read “Most” manuals, blueprints, and other written documentation related to equipment here at our site.
- MUST have “Most” of your own tools. Some “specialty” tools / items specific to Liberty Tire will be provided.
Common Equipment used here in Minerva
- SSI Shredder (M-160 Model) using two (2) 400 HP AC Drive Motors
- CAT & CASE Equipment…. 1650 Dozer, 210 Excavator, 320 Excavator, 938 Loader, Scania Rock Haulers….
- Inside and outside Conveyors (up to 72 inches in width and 175 feet in length).
- 3hp to 10 hp motors, plus gear boxes & reducers.
Skills and Abilities:
Proven experience as an Industrial Mechanic, preferably in a recycling or manufacturing environment.
- Strong electrical knowledge and experience with industrial electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
- Certifications or technical training in mechanics and electrical systems is a plus
- Ability to consistently life 50lbs.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
Physical Demands for this Position include but NOT limited to
- Standing, Bending, Pulling, Pushing, and Climbing for long periods of time.
- Ability to consistency lift 50 LBS.
- Extreme changes of temperature (NOTE: A lot of this position requires to be outside in the Northeast Ohio area) from 90 degrees plus to -5 degrees.
- Ability to work in windy conditions along with Rain, Snow, and Sleet.
- At times, conditions can be “dusty” or windy.
