Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and 1+ year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Cardiovascular Technologist I to support invasive cardiovascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a clinical setting. This contract position is based in Bryan, OH, offering a dynamic role where you will train under experienced professionals to assist physicians during procedures, operate specialized equipment, and maintain a safe, sterile environment primarily serving adult and geriatric patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in cardiovascular catheterization and electrophysiology procedures through training in monitoring, scrubbing, and circulating roles
- Prepare and educate patients for procedures and provide post-procedural instructions as trained
- Maintain sterile technique and compliance with safety protocols, including patient identification and procedural verification
- Participate in procedural documentation, departmental record keeping, and compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate effectively with interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and other healthcare team members
- Flexibly work various shifts including (4) 10-hour shifts with on-call coverage, weekends (minimum every other weekend), and holidays (minimum two major and two minor)
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- GED, Associate, or Bachelors Degree in Health Science or equivalent experience (e.g., LPN, RT, EMT/Paramedic)
- Graduate of a Cardiovascular Technologist program preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; Registered CVI Specialist preferred
- At least one year medical experience, preferably in cardiovascular or Cath Lab settings; EP and Peripheral experience a plus but not required
- Basic understanding of cardiovascular procedures, anatomy, EKG interpretation, and emergency response
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
