Experienced full-time workers’ compensation specialist needed for Toledo’s premier workers’ compensation law firm. Must be reliable, and able to multi-task while working independently.

Responsibilities include:

• Communication with injured worker clients by telephone and email, offering regular updates, and responding to client inquiries in a professional and supportive manner.
• Maintaining and organizing files, monitoring and managing documents, and promptly responding to litigation matters.
• Reviewing claim files to determine current status and next processing steps.
• Assisting with drafting, formatting, and reviewing legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and motions.
• Prepare documents for filing, including claim applications, applications for additional benefits, and other BWC forms.
• Medical record organization and updates; review and evaluate medical records to confirm completeness and relevance to the claim.
• Correspond with treating providers to understand treatment plans and outcomes, to gather documentation and support for injured worker claims, and to determine next steps for further review.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Microsoft Office computer skills, using Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Proficiency with both state computer systems, Dolphin at the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation, and ICON at the Industrial Commission.
• Effectively communicate with clients and provide excellent customer service.
• Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, positive attitude that thrives in a dynamic environment.
• Paralegal degree or certificate.
• Minimum three years of paralegal experience.
