About the Role:
As a Part-Time State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) in a Hospital-Based Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients during their recovery process. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to implement care plans and monitor patient progress. This position requires a compassionate approach, as you will be interacting with patients and their families, providing emotional support and education. Minimum Qualifications:
- Current State Tested Nursing Assistant certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or hospital setting.
- Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Additional certifications in geriatric care or rehabilitation.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, grooming, and daily living activities.
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to nursing staff.
- Support patients in mobility and physical therapy exercises as directed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
