Job DescriptionLHH is Recruiting a Corporate Assistant for the Columbus Office of a regional law firm. The Corporate Assistant will assist with the preparation and filing of business forms and documents. This position will assist with the needs and priorities of the Corporate practice group as well as other groups, including Commercial/Real Estate.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file forms, stock certificates, incorporation documents, corporate resolutions and dissolution documents in all states.
- Request and obtain Certificates of Good Standing and certified copies from various Secretary of State offices. Request and obtain Tax Clearance Certificates from various state tax departments.
- Obtain EINs with the IRS.
- Prepare correspondence to clients, government agencies and internal/external attorneys.
- Maintaining relationships with third party service providers.
- Assemble entity minute books.
- Assist with document legalization.
- File UCC and business forms with various Secretary of State and county offices.
- Perform tasks or projects requested by corporate group leadership or as assigned by the Director of Paralegals.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of business filing requirements
- Intermediate proficiency of MS Word, MS Excel, Lexis and internet research
- Extraordinary attention to detail and deadlines
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently
- Ability to complete filings and forms on time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to change

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
