Mechanical Engineer / Sheet Metal

Location: Fairfax, OH

Compensation: $100-140 K

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in the Construction Industry is required
• Previous experience with HVAC is required
• Previous experience with Sheet Metal is required
• Previous experience as a Mechanical Designer is required
• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong knowledge of the construction industry and contract documentation
• Familiarity with federal, state, and city regulations and guidelines
• Microsoft Office & PDF Viewer experience

Responsibilities:

• Engage with customers and vendors to support project requirements and maintain strong working relationships
• Design various types of HVAC mechanical duct systems, including supply, return, exhaust, fresh air, and specialized systems such as fume or dust extraction
• Interpret construction drawings and specifications to develop HVAC duct layouts
• Work effectively in active construction environments; must be comfortable on job sites
• Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes and standards
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure timely and accurate project execution
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required
• Knowledge of building codes and construction practices is a strong plus
