Job DescriptionPermanent/Direct hire Corporate Paralegal/Legal Assistant
The Company Our client is a respected and growing regional law firm with over 50 attorneys, 26 paralegals, and 110 employees within its seven locations.
LocationThis position is located on site at the firm’s Massillon office, with some coverage needed at the corporate office in Canton.
The Position It is expected the person in this role will work independently on assigned matters and/or special projects with general direction from the attorneys. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Entity formation
- Business transactions
- Corporate governance
- Answer phones and greet visitors
- Prepare and revise legal documents
- Prepare and revise corporate organizational documents, including minutes and resolutions, agreements, contracts, amendments, correspondence, and related matters
- Client-contact via in person, phone call, email, and letter
- File printed documents in corresponding folders
- Prepare trial exhibits
- Process incoming mail, outgoing mail, and packages
- Record documents at county recorder’s office and appropriate courts
- Conduct necessary research
- Schedule meetings
- Provide administrative support, as directed by attorneys

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Products – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

- Experience working in a similar role in a law firm and/or corporate legal department preferred
- Exceptional attention to accuracy, detail, and grammar
- Ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information
- Strong time management and organizational skill

- Desire to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities as opportunities present
- Professional demeaner, with strong interpersonal skills
- Current Notary Public required
EducationA bachelor’s degree with Paralegal Certificate, an associate’s degree in paralegal studies, or comparable experience is preferred.Compensation
