An educational facility is seeking a Maintenance Generalist Technician to perform prescribed maintenance and repairs on small equipment, motors, and pumps, as well as, various facility maintenance duties. This is a first shift position; however, you must be able to work overtime, evenings, and weekends as required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on small motors, pumps, and equipment such as grounds tools, custodial machinery, and utility systems
• Assist the Mechanic and HVAC Technician with diagnostics, part replacement, and preventative maintenance tasks
• Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical issues including lighting, switches, outlets, and small control systems
• Perform general building maintenance tasks such as door adjustments, plumbing repairs, painting, and ceiling tile replacements
• Assist in seasonal preparation and maintenance of grounds equipment such as snow blowers, leaf blowers, and mowers
• Support campus-wide operations including furniture moves, setups for events, and snow removal as needed
• Assist in maintaining the wastewater treatment plant
• Perform other duties as needed

Job Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years general maintenance experience
• Must have knowledge of ladder and wiring diagrams, National Electric Code, and PC experience or training
• Training or experience on small equipment motors and pumps is required
• Must have basic electrical knowledge for repairs and installations
• Must have the ability to efficiently operate electric drills, hammers, wrenches, pipe cutters, metal cutters, benders, pressure gauges, and volt meters
• Must have knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC, schedule lighting, and doors
• Must be comfortable walking, standing, bending, stooping, or crouching for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work in all temperatures and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must have a valid driver's license with reliable transportation
• Must have the ability to work overtime as required for events
