The Worship Leader will lead congregational worship that flows from a vibrant, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This person will have an appreciation for powerful and dynamic contemporary worship and the ability to lead musically and administratively in a Christ-centered, team-based environment. This role includes oversight of one Christ Community Chapel (CCC) weekend worship venue and the flexibility to lead in various musical styles across other venues. This is a part-time position and reports to the Director of Worship & Creative Arts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a contemporary worship service, including setlist planning, scheduling volunteers, and managing worship technology tools (e.g., Ableton).
- Plan services in alignment with sermon themes and Scripture.
- Stay current with worship trends, songs, and scripture readings that serve the modern church.
- Build relationships with volunteers and student musicians, fostering a culture of growth and community.
- Collaborate on larger events (e.g., concerts, combined services).
- Communicate effectively with production and tech teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Use platforms like Planning Center, ClickUp, and Microsoft Office for organization and communication.
- Participate in CCC staff life, including team gatherings and theological training.
Requirements:
- A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (preferred).
- Experience leading worship and rehearsing bands with instrumental proficiency.
- Ability to read and edit chord charts (required); sheet music editing is a plus.
- Familiarity with DAWs and creating custom arrangements and rehearsal tools.
