Position Overview:
Join our locally owned team as an experienced Network/IT Technician. This role primarily focuses on advanced technical support with occasional on-site escalations, requiring strong problem-solving skills and hands-on technical expertise across diverse client environments in our local market.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for complex issues across varied local client infrastructures
- Handle escalated tickets that require advanced troubleshooting and customized solutions
- Respond to on-site technical emergencies and escalations when needed
- Participate in on-call rotation schedule (only a couple times per year, decreasing as more technicians join the company)
- Travel out of town and occasionally out of state for client projects (generally one to two day duration)
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity and performance issues in diverse environments
- Troubleshoot Windows domain controller problems and Active Directory issues
- Configure and maintain VLAN settings and network segmentation for various client needs
- Implement and troubleshoot firewall rules and security policies
- Adapt solutions to fit unique client requirements rather than applying standard approaches
- Collaborate with other IT team members on infrastructure projects
- Document solutions and maintain knowledge base articles
Required Experience:
- 3+ years of hands-on networking experience in varied environments
- Strong understanding of Windows Server environments and domain controllers
- Proficient in VLAN configuration and network troubleshooting
- Experience with firewall management and rule implementation
- Proven track record in technical support roles
- Experience with escalated technical issues and problem resolution
- Ability to adapt technical solutions to diverse business environments
- Reliable transportation for on-site client visits
- Valid driver's license required
- Willingness to travel for client projects when needed
Technical Skills:
- Windows Server administration and Active Directory management
- Network protocols, routing, and switching concepts
- Firewall configuration and security best practices
- VLAN setup and network segmentation
- Remote support tools and ticketing systems
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
