Centennial Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Mid-level Server Engineer to support a major federal agency in Cincinnati. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, hands-on experience with Windows server environments, and a solid understanding of network and virtualization infrastructure.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Windows administration support, including managing file/folder permissions, inheritance, patches, firewall, printer management, and vulnerabilities.
- Support Active Directory, including managing objects/groups, service accounts, and password changes, including Azure NetApps.
- Support VMware instances, including creating servers, adding volumes, managing snapshots, and providing performance tuning support.
- Configure and install software for upgrading and maintaining servers, networks, and limited telecommunication systems.
- Update and resolve work tickets promptly.
Key Qualifications:
- Must have a bachelor’s degree.
- Must have 2-4 years of experience supporting the Windows platform.
- Must have at least 2 years’ experience supporting Active Directory structure.
- Must have at least 2 years’ experience supporting VMware instances.
- Should be able to lift to 50 lbs and climb a ladder of at least 6 feet.
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have a good attitude, commitment, and dedication to learning from the senior staff.
- Must be willing to travel to local or remote sites as needed.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to work on-site 5 days a week.
Additional Key Qualifications:
- Any familiarity with Splunk is a big plus.
- Any familiarity with VEEAM is a plus.
- Any familiarity with Cisco switches is nice to have.
