Key Responsibilities

• Programming & Setup: Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs (G-code/M-code) for complex parts; select and set up tooling, fixtures, and materials for high precision.
• Operation & Adjustment: Run multiple machines, make real-time adjustments to feeds, speeds, and offsets; troubleshoot crashes and process issues independently.
• Quality Assurance: Verify dimensions using precision tools (calipers, micrometers), interpret Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance and identify repair needs on machines.
• Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identify bottlenecks, and suggest solutions.
• Collaboration: Work with engineers to refine designs, troubleshoot complex parts, and provide feedback.
• Mentorship: Train and mentor less experienced machinists on advanced techniques.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, etc.) and CAM software.
• Expertise in G-code, GD&T, and blueprint interpretation.
• Ability to set up complex jobs (hard jaws, angle plates) and perform first-part qualification.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for machine and process issues.
• Understanding of different materials (steel, titanium, aluminum).
• Leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
