Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable Heat Treat Operator to support production in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for operating heat treat furnaces and related equipment to process metal parts according to specifications while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heat treat furnaces and supporting equipment (batch or continuous)
- Load and unload parts using carts, baskets, or material handling equipment
- Monitor temperatures, cycle times, and process controls
- Perform basic quality checks and inspections of treated parts
- Record production data, temperatures, and cycle information
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and work instructions
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with routine equipment checks and report issues as needed
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or heat treat experience preferred
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Comfortable working around heat, furnaces, and industrial equipment
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Work Environment
- Manufacturing/industrial setting
- Exposure to heat, noise, and moving equipment
- Steel-toe footwear and PPE required
