About the Role
As a Machinist at CMP, you’ll work hands-on with CNC and manual machines in a dynamic job-shop environment. You’ll set up, operate, and program 2-axis and 3-axis machines, ensuring precision and quality in every part you produce. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their craft, enjoys variety in their work, and thrives in a collaborative, safety-focused team.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience setting up and operating 2-axis and 3-axis CNC machines in a job shop environment (Mills, Lathes, and Surface Grinders).
- Ability to write and adjust simple programs – especially in Prototrak conversational CNC.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Experience with precision measurement tools and instruments to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Experience performing setups, adjustments, and quality checks independently.
- Enjoys a hands-on, collaborative culture where machinists take ownership of their work.
