Title: Manufacturing Quality Engineer
Duration: 8 month contract to hire
Location: Loveland, OH- onsite 5 days a week M-F 8-5pm
Role Overview
The Quality Technician's function is to perform various inspection duties, create and collect inspection data, work closely with Engineering and suppliers to resolve issues, and maintain document control in accordance with AS9100 and ITAR requirements.
What You'll Do...
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections using advanced and standard metrology equipment, including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, bore gages, height gages, profilometer, optical comparator, pin gages, CMM, and GOM scanner
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to assess product conformity
- Create and execute CMM inspection programs using PC-DMIS and Calypso software; support 3D inspection using CAD models and scanners
- Develop and implement inspection methods and documentation aligned with customer and industry requirements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to resolve product realization issues
- Maintain QMS records such as calibration logs, inspection documentation, and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking
- Generate and verify all content required for Customer Data Packets and Certificates of Conformance (CoC).

- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a Quality/Inspection role in a manufacturing environment
- At least 1 year working in an AS9100-certified facility or equivalent aerospace qualityenvironment
- 1–2 years of hands-on CMM programming and operation experience (PC-DMIS or Calypso)
- Proficient in interpreting and applying GD&T principles (read, interpret, and inspect to spec)
- 2–4 years of experience with engineering drawing interpretation
- Skilled in the use of manual and digital inspection tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gages)
- Experience writing quality procedures and work instructions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal reports and external correspondence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Nice to have...
- Proficiency with PC-DMIS and/or Calypso programming platforms
- Experience in Additive Manufacturing environments or hybrid machining operations
- Familiarity with Keyence measurement systems or similar automated inspection platforms
- Background in CNC or manual machine operations
- Internal auditing experience to AS9100 or ISO standards
- Familiarity with ERP and QMS software for NCR, document control, and calibration management
Compensation:
$30/hr to $34/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
