Senior Electrical Controls Engineer

What You’ll Do:
- Design and program PLC ladder logic for automated systems using platforms such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, or similar.
- Develop intuitive HMI screens that align with PLC functionality and enhance operator usability.
- Create clear, accurate electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical while following customer and industry standards.
- Select appropriate electrical hardware and produce complete schematic drawing packages for system builds.
- Integrate, test, and troubleshoot control programs during system build and startup phases.
- Provide on-site support during installation and assist with system commissioning at customer facilities.
- Collaborate closely with robot programmers to ensure seamless system and equipment integration.
- Design and implement industrial network architectures using Ethernet, DeviceNet, ProfiNet, CC-Link, and related protocols.
- Review existing customer equipment to confirm compatibility, performance, and compliance.
- Participate in peer reviews by validating others’ work and welcoming feedback on your own designs.
- Communicate regularly with engineers and customers to support current projects and explore future engineering needs.
- Evaluate electrical systems, components, and products to drive efficiency, reliability, and innovative design solutions.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on controls related course work
- Must understand PLC logic and have prior experience with programming from scratch. Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, or Siemens is preferred.
- Experience with HMI programming software
- Experience using AutoCAD Electrical, and ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Ability to design industrial power distribution circuitry
- Possess strong problem solving skills in order to identify and troubleshoot issues
- Knowledge of current safety standards
- Robotic and servo experience
