An exciting career awaits you at Pomerene, we are looking for a Medical Technologist to join our team. The hours of this position are (3) - 12-hour shifts, per week. This position will do one weekend rotation every 4 weeks.

Job Summary

The Medical Technologist (MT) is responsible for providing laboratory test results. Duties include collecting specimens, accurately entering automated and manual lab results, and performing laboratory proficiency testing. Additionally, the MT provides quality service to customers, courteous and clear communication, and timely service.

Essential Functions

• Moves throughout the facility, appropriately assists in emergency drills and performs the physical requirements needed to deliver services as assigned.

• Performs the laboratory responsibilities of this position in the hospital setting according to hospital and department policy and procedure.

• Maintains quality while performing laboratory tests and procedures according to pre-established standards.

• Completes laboratory research and initiates new laboratory procedures when appropriate.

Education and Experience

• Associate's degree in medical laboratory sciences- Required

• 1-3 Years of Experience as a Medical/Clinical Laboratory Technologist in a Healthcare/Medical Setting- Preferred.

• Recognition by an Accredited Certifying Agency- Required.
