Truck Service Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily shop operations and workflow
- Supervise, train and coordinate mechanics and technicians.
- Maintain tools and equipment
- Ensure safety and quality standards
- Interact with customers and vendors
- Monitor service productivity and costs
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and heavy vehicle maintenance
- Solid background in fleet maintenance and mechanical trouble shooting
- Strong supervisory and leadership abilities, including managing technicians, scheduling work, and overseeing the service process
- Proficiency in organizational, scheduling, and communication skills to coordinate workflow and maintain excellent internal and external customer service
- Good understanding of safety standards, quality assurance, and compliance with DOT regulations
Educational and Certification Requirements
- An associates degree or higher is preferred
- A valid drivers license is required with a CDL preferred
- ASE Certification in the following T4 and T5.
