Job DescriptionJob Opening: City Auditor
Seeking qualified candidates for a full-time, non-partisan City Auditor position to serve the remainder of the charter term through December 1, 2027.
Must be a resident in Nelsonville and qualified elector for at least one year prior to the election (before November 2026)
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: Salary: $ 60,000/yr
Schedule: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm: Mon-Friday
Training and professional development opportunities
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accounting records and general ledger
Oversee city revenues and expenditures
Process payroll and accounts payable
Manage annual audits, benefits, and pension reporting
Oversee municipal income tax collection
Prepare required monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
Supervise three full-time staff members
Serve as a financial advisor and fiduciary to City Council
