Assembly – Small Parts

Mentor, OH

M-F 2nd Shift 3:30pm - 1:30am (4 days/week- 10-hour shifts)

$18.25/hour Full-Time

ENTRY LEVEL / ON-THE-JOB TRAINING

Full-time in Mentor, Ohio

Responsible for performing assembly work utilizing lean principles (one-piece flow) to produce FDA regulated devices in a controlled work environment. Performs assembly work utilizing lean principles (one-piece flow) to produce FDA regulated devices in a controlled work environment.

Duties

• Assemble components to include gluing, weaving, packaging, coiling, welding using various hand tools and bench top pneumatic presses
• Handle and evaluate quality of small parts during manufacturing processes
• Troubleshoot simple equipment malfunctions
• Promote and support a safe working environment
• Inform team lead/supervisor of any problems pertaining to production, parts, equipment, or processes
• Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment
• Supports and promotes LEAN operations by following standard work to include Safety Observations, Idea Generation and Hour by Hour Board updates
• Duties and responsibilities contained in this job description may change at any time
• Standing/Walking expectation up to 70% - 100% daily

Education Degree

• High School Diploma or GED required

Preferred Experience

• Creative Arts/Crafty Capabilities (arts, weaving, musical instruments, nail painting) background helpful

Skills

• Ability to read, understand and communicate oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving parts and equipment variation while maintaining quality expectations. Ability to identify, communicate and trouble shoot problems.
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with other employees.
• Will be required to enter data at a computer terminal.
• Basic counting and arithmetic skills required.
