Job Title: CNC Fanuc Lathe Operator Apprentice
Location: Cleveland, OH (West Side)
Company: Express Employment Professionals – Lakewood, OH
Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $16.00–$18.00/hr to start
Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

About the Position:

Express Employment Professionals in Lakewood is now hiring a CNC Lathe Operator for a reputable manufacturing company on the west side of Cleveland. Key Responsibilities:

Operate a CNC Lathe using basic Fanuc controls
Accurately interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Meet production quotas and quality standards
Use micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other basic measuring tools
Perform visual and measured inspections to ensure part quality
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Assist with machine adjustments using hand and power tools as needed
Operate a forklift or pallet jack to move materials

Requirements:

Prior experience operating a CNC Lathe (Fanuc control experience preferred)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and production documents
Proficient with basic inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude
Ability to stand for 10-hour shifts and lift up to 50 lbs
Reliable, dependable, and eager to learn
Team-oriented with a career-minded attitude

Additional Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required
Must pass a drug screen (Including THC) and background check
Stable work history preferred; candidates with strong motivation and trainability will be considered even with limited CNC experience

Compensation & Advancement:

$16.00 – $18.00/hr to start (based on experience)
