Experience &amp; Knowledge Needed for Position:

<li>Minimum 3 years performing repair and maintenance on heavy trucks and diesel engine vehicles, equipment, and related components preferred.</li>
<li>Experience using repair manuals, wiring (electrical) diagrams, and schematics necessary to troubleshoot or repair vehicle or component failure</li>
<li>Waste industry experience preferred.</li>

Physical Requirements in a Regular workday:
<ul>
<li>Frequently lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 35lbs. Occasionally up to 75lbs.</li>
<li>Continuously working outside in changing temperature, wet/humid conditions. </li>
<li>Continuously working in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, other airborne matter.</li>
<li>Continuously walking/standing/stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling/climbing and/or balancing.</li>

Job Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Troubleshoot and repair material handling equipment</li>
<li>Perform scheduled preventative maintenance activities</li>
<li>Evaluates and makes recommendations regarding repairs</li>
<li>Keep overhead crane systems operating by performing inspections, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventative maintenance, responding to repair calls</li>
<li>Documents service and installation actions by completion of forms, reports and inspection checklists</li>
<li>Inspect overhead industrial cranes and hoists to ensure safety and compliance with manufacturing OSHA and ANSI standards</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned by manager</li>

Job Requirements

<li>Maintain low incident MVR and valid driver’s license</li>
<li>At least one year of crane and hoist experience</li>
<li>Must be ok with some out of town work, up to 5% of the time. Per diem and hotel stay covered in the event of overnight stay. Other branches include:

<li>Indiana: Ft Wayne and Indianapolis</li>
<li>Ohio: Cincinnati</li>
<li>Kentucky: Louisville</li>
</ul>

<li>Must be able to work in elevated areas</li>
<li>Must be able to work with voltages up to 480V and in compliance with lockout/tagout procedures</li>
