Position Summary
As a Shop Technician, you'll perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. You'll work closely with other team members and departments, use the latest diagnostic tools, and have access to continuing education.
Primary Responsibilities
Equipment Diagnostics &amp; Repair
<ul>

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
</li>
<li>
Complete repairs to factory standards and safety protocols.
</li>
<li>
Provide clear documentation of needed parts and communicate with parts and service departments.
</li>
<li>
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
</li>
<li>
Ensure repairs are completed within estimated timeframes or notify the manager promptly.
</li>
</ul>
Documentation
<ul>
<li>
Complete 3C documentation (Complaint, Cause, Correction) in electronic work order system.
</li>
<li>
Maintain accurate and legible records, including time and materials used.
</li>
</ul>
Customer &amp; Team Interaction
<ul>
<li>
Perform equipment inspections and suggest additional repairs as needed.
</li>
<li>
Communicate with customers (when applicable) about issues and repair updates.
</li>
<li>
Assist team with job quoting and maintain respectful, honest communication at all times.
</li>
</ul>
Safety &amp; Continuous Improvement
<ul>
<li>
Follow all safety policies and complete required OSHA 10 training.
</li>
<li>
Maintain tools and return specialty equipment to proper locations.
</li>
<li>
Participate in 5S initiatives to keep shop organized and efficient.
</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>
High School Diploma or GED plus 2-year degree in Diesel, Ag, Auto, or Heavy Equipment Technology or equivalent hands-on experience.
</li>
<li>
2-5 years' experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems, or heavy equipment repair.
</li>
<li>
Welding and torch experience preferred.
</li>
<li>
Must have personal tool set and storage.
</li>
<li>
Ability to read instructions and repair documentation.
</li>
<li>
Dependable, adaptable, ethical, and a strong communicator.
</li>
</ul>
Physical Requirements
<ul>
<li>
Frequent walking, climbing, bending, and manual handling of heavy tools and equipment.
</li>
<li>
Regularly lift/move 10 lbs, frequently 50 lbs, occasionally over 100 lbs.
</li>
<li>
Vision and manual dexterity required for equipment inspections and repairs.
</li>
<li>
Daily operation and inspection of heavy equipment.
</li>
</ul>
Work Environment
<ul>
<li>
Shop-based work with minimal travel for training or meetings.
</li>
<li>
Reports to Service Manager or Operations Manager.
</li>
<li>
FLSA: Non-exempt.
</li>

<li>Repairing tears on the sides of containers</li>
<li>Replacing&nbsp;and repairing engines&nbsp;</li>

Requirements

<li>Previous experience in container repair &amp; welding preferred</li>
