When not assigned to a jobsite, the PDM Field Project Engineer I will be assigned to a Matrix engineering office to perform design and project engineering tasks in support of current projects.
Essential Functions

<li>Assists the material receipt personnel by performing receipt inspections including coordination of non-conformance resolution with the cognizant Engineers and Procurement for incoming engineered equipment and components.</li>
<li>Facilitates Engineering’s review of rigging plans.</li>
<li>Supports with pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.</li>
<li>Supports in conducting and documenting facility performance tests when within the project scope.</li>
<li>Supports the construction superintendent regarding construction planning requiring engineering interface.</li>
<li>Coordinates site visit timing and requirements for engineering discipline EORs observations and sign-off.</li>
<li>Works on special projects as assigned and directed by supervisor, the project engineer, or by the construction team.</li>
<li>Travels to meetings with customers and vendors as required.</li>

Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical or other related discipline required.</li>
<li>Entry-level Engineer; no experience required but field experience on construction project sites highly preferred. </li>
<li>Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and good organizational skills.</li>
<li>Ability to perform with minimal supervision.</li>
<li>Ability to work on multiple activities at one time.</li>
<li>Strong computer skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word are required.</li>
<li>Travel Requirements - assignments will be field positions at construction sites throughout North America with periodic stints in an office including a potential initial office assignment to learn the Matrix way. </li>

Job Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Conduct routine inspections, trouble shooting, and preventative maintenance on piston and rotary screw air compressors, multi brand compressors (oil flooded and oil free), and refrigerated/desiccant air dryers.</li>
<li>Install new equipment when applicable</li>
<li>Comply with all safety procedures and precautions (both Brehob and customer sites)</li>
<li>Ensure excellent customer service no matter the location; maintain positive customer relations while resolving concerns</li>
<li>Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team to complete tasks in a timely manner</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned by manager</li>
</ul>
Job Requirements
<ul>
<li>Maintain low incident MVR and valid driver’s license</li>
<li>At least one year of air compressor experience</li>
<li>Must be ok with some out of town work, up to 5% of the time. Per diem and hotel stay covered in the event of overnight stay. Other branches include:
<ul>
<li>Michigan: Grand Rapids and Detroit</li>
<li>Indiana: Indianapolis and Ft. Wayne</li>
<li>Ohio: Cincinnati</li>
<li>Kentucky: Louisville</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Experience driving flatbeds, pick up trucks, and pull behind trailers</li>
<li>Industrial maintenance a plus</li>
<li>Experience in air compressors a plus but not required</li>
<li>Read and comprehend written technical information (manuals or parts’ books)</li>
<li>Excellent work ethic and self-motivated</li>
<li>Excellent track record with attendance</li>
<li>Proficient in problem solving, process analysis, and trouble shooting in high pressure situations</li>
<li>Able to walk, crouch, sit, stand and reach</li>
<li>Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills</li>
<li>Able to carry up to 50 lbs</li>
<li>Able to climb ladders, use lifts, and work elevated when required</li>
