Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description – other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed.

<li>Sets up and operates bending presses and heating units for hot or cold bending, forming or offsetting</li>
<li>Sets up and operates profile cutting machine, crane, robotic scrap disposal, machining center and parts marker</li>
<li>Selects proper tooling according to code sheet or drawing and routing</li>
<li>Monitors gauges and controls and makes necessary adjustments</li>
<li>Selects proper materials or parts as described in the routing package</li>
<li>Read and interprets blueprints</li>
<li>Uses good judgment and always works in a safe responsible manner</li>
<li>Performs inspections to ensure quality work throughout operation</li>
<li>Selects correct material size, type and grade to meet specifications</li>
<li>Maintains quality to meet blueprint and ISO specifications</li>
<li>Regular communication with Design Engineer (plasma) and other personnel as appropriate for issues and process improvement&nbsp;</li>

Job Summary: As a Body Shop Helper, you'll assist technicians with a variety of tasks, including prepping vehicles, maintaining a clean workspace, moving vehicles, and organizing tools and parts. No prior experience is required, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential.
 
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Assist body technicians with vehicle preparation and minor repair tasks</li>
<li>Will work with the body shop technicians, painters, estimators, and detailers to ensure the best customer service experience.</li>
<li>Ordering parts that are needed for repairs and keeping all parts needed for repair in order.</li>
<li>Examines damaged vehicles and performs the repairs per the estimate.</li>
<li>Documenting all work performed.</li>
<li>Will clean the shop after the vehicle has been repaired and returned to the customer</li>
<li>Will do a post-repair inspection and road test.</li>
</ul>
 
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Pass a background check and drug screen
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Previous automotive or shop experience is a plus, but not required
