Qualifications:

<li>Male, to meet privacy requirements for providing personal care to male clients.</li>
<li>High School Diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>At least two years of experience providing direct care services to adults with a variety of disabilities.</li>
<li>Must be 18 years or older.</li>
<li>Certification in First Aid/CPR within 60 days of employment.</li>
<li>Maintain a valid Ohio or Michigan drivers license with a good driving record, adequate insurance, and willingness to use a personal vehicle for work.</li>
<li>Basic computer skills.</li>
<li>Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.</li>
<li>Ability to pass a drug test and background check.</li>
</ul>

As a direct support professional, you will provide assistance and guidance with: Cooking, including but not limited to creating a shopping list, storage, and inventory of food and dietary items, food prep, and cleaning. Laundry: including but not limited to the inventory of clothing, washing, drying, folding, ironing, and storing clothing, and routine machine maintenance/cleaning. Using durable medical equipment. Cleaning, including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing all areas of the individual's home, including bedrooms, closets, bathrooms, kitchen, living room, laundry room, outdoor spaces, basement, and vehicles. Personal care, including but not limited to assisting clients with eating, bathing and grooming such as shaving, hair care, nail care, and toileting.
