At Buckeye PACE, our Driver/PCA play a crucial role in the care of our participants as they provide transportation to and from their destinations. Driver/PCAs must want to make a difference in seniors’ lives by working with the interdisciplinary care team to implement and carry out services and activities to proactively meet the needs of our participants.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Drives Participants to and from scheduled doctor’s appointments and to the Buckeye PACE Center.

May run errands for the facility, including the hardware store, grocery store, pharmacy, and banks.

Drives a specially equipped van to deliver physically limited persons to varied destinations. Assures that wheelchair lifts and tie-down equipment are properly operated and that Participants are delivered to appointments promptly.

What does a day in the life of a caregiver look like? Providing a helping hand.

<li>Have fun and engaging conversations with your clients to build relationships</li>
<li>Participate in your clients’ favorite hobbies (scrapbooking, gardening, games, etc.)</li>
<li>Prep meals for your clients to enjoy</li>
<li>Assist your clients with walking, dressing, and other daily activities of living</li>
<li>Report what activities were completed with your clients and provide updates on your clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior</li>
