Job Summary: As a Direct Support Professional at COD Health Care, you will provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and fostering their independence within a compassionate and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:

<li>Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, hygiene, and nutritional needs.</li>
<li>Implement and monitor individual service plans to promote the individual's well-being, independence, and social growth.</li>
<li>Provide transportation for clients to appointments, community events, and other activities.</li>
<li>Ensure the safety and well-being of clients, adhering to all agency policies and compliance with DODD regulations.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided, behavioral observations, and incident reports.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.</li>
<li>Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to ensure best practices in client care and compliance with health and safety standards.</li>

Qualifications:

<li>High school diploma or equivalent; further education in a healthcare-related field preferred.</li>
<li>Previous experience in a caregiving role or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient demeanor.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to client-centered care.</li>
<li>Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.</li>
<li>Must pass background checks and meet DODD employment eligibility criteria.</li>
