Job Title: External Fraud Investigator (Fully Onsite)
Location: Columbus, OH 43240
Start Date: October 27, 2025
Pay Rate: $24 - $26.42/hr.
Schedule: First Shift | Training: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM EST (30 min unpaid break)
Contract Type: Contract

Job Overview:
Seeking External Fraud Investigators to support fraud prevention efforts through detailed investigations and SAR (Suspicious Activity Report) filings. The role is 100% onsite and includes mandatory in-person training. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and prior experience in investigations, fraud, banking, or accounting.
 
Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Investigate external fraud and related fraud typologies in accordance with policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Conduct transaction analysis to identify suspicious or fraudulent activity.</li>
<li>Prepare and file complete and accurate SARs.</li>
<li>Maintain detailed and accurate case notes in a case management system.</li>
<li>Report findings with SAR recommendations as required.</li>
<li>Stay compliant with internal and external regulations including BSA/AML requirements.</li>
<li>Participate in mandatory training sessions and continuous learning.</li>
</ul>
 
Preferred Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>SAR writing and quality assurance experience</li>
<li>Prior fraud investigation experience</li>
<li>Background in financial services, accounting, auditing, or banking</li>
<li>Strong proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word (Required)</li>
<li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to handle confidential data with integrity</li>
<li>Excellent time management and ability to meet strict deadlines</li>
<li>Comfortable adapting to change in a fast-paced environment</li>
</ul>
 
Education &amp; Experience:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, criminal justice, behavioral sciences, or related field</li>
<li>OR equivalent hands-on experience in fraud investigations and SAR filings</li>
<li>Recent graduates with applicable degrees are encouraged to apply</li>
</ul>
 
Important Notes:
<ul>
<li>Training is mandatory with zero absences permitted for ~4 weeks (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM EST).</li>
<li>Candidates must be comfortable with fully onsite work.</li>
<li>Electronic fingerprinting must be scheduled within 48 hours of offer.</li>
<li>Vendors are expected to maintain clear communication during interview and onboarding stages.</li>
<li>Candidates who go unresponsive for more than 24 hours must be flagged immediately.</li>
