Responsibilities Include:
<ul>
<li>Assisting with preparation of H-1B, O-1, TN, and E visas</li>
<li>Drafting PERM, and employment-based immigrant visa petitions, including EB-1, EB2 and EB-3</li>
<li>Preparation of routine legal correspondence and research as needed</li>
<li>Frequent client contact, both written and verbal</li>
<li>Ability to accurately create time entry narratives to describe the work performed as this position includes a billable hour requirement</li>
</ul>
Qualified Applicants Will Have:
<ul>
<li>Ideally 2+ years' immigration experience in a professional services environment </li>
<li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal</li>
<li>High level of attention to detail and ability to meet multiple deadlines in a sometimes fast-paced environment</li>
<li>Strong computing skills with the ability to quickly become proficient with new software tools</li>
<li>Strong Microsoft Office skills are required. Experience with PDF programs (Kofax/Adobe) and VISIO is desired</li>

The Paralegal position is responsible for investigating and researching facts and preparing documents to assist and support their assigned attorney. Responsibilities include accurate management of cases and timely communication with clients and attorneys.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES*:

<li>Case Management
<ul>
<li>Obtain, review, and organize medical records</li>
<li>Insurance coverage investigation</li>
<li>Prepare, calculate, and maintain damage summaries including medical expenses, lost wages, and property damage</li>
<li>Log daily mail</li>
<li>Prepare and forward medical records to insurance carriers</li>
<li>Draft correspondence necessary for case management</li>
<li>Balance verifications and assist with subrogation lien resolution</li>
<li>Prepare check requests, maintain check records, and mail checks</li>
<li>Assist attorney with settlement documentation and disbursements</li>
<li>Prepare disbursement summaries</li>
<li>Prepare file for litigation transfer when necessary</li>

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree, prior experience in domestic relations law and working in a law office. The individual in this role will be expected to work independently on assigned responsibilities including legal research and writing, assisting attorneys by preparing for hearings, trials, and meetings, preparing and revising legal documents, pleading preparation, case management, drafting and reviewing settlement proposals, maintaining communication with clients, filing, organizing files and additional duties as assigned. The applicant must have the ability to prioritize and multi-task, as well as, excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong Word, Excel and computer skills are required.
