<li>Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical engineering, manufacturing, and product management teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical and electrical systems.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards including ANSI, ASME, NEC, and UL.</li>
<li>Drive continuous improvement in mechanical design processes, tools, and documentation.</li>
<li>Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and technical excellence.</li>
<li>Participate in design reviews and provide technical oversight throughout the product development lifecycle.</li>
<li>Maintain responsibility of Engineering schedule and KPI's</li>
</ul>
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field required</li>
<li>8+ years of experience in mechanical design of medium voltage switchgear is required</li>
<li>Proficient in interpreting and working from single line and three-line diagrams required</li>
<li>Proven understanding of electrical clearance requirements at various voltage levels required</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written required</li>
<li>Background in manufacturing or industrial environments required</li>
</ul>

Preferred Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Strong expertise in 3D CAD tools: AutoCAD and SolidWorks experience preferred</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements (ANSI, ASME, NEC, UL) preferred</li>
<li>Prior leadership or team management experience is highly preferred</li>
</ul>
· Experience in Lean/Six sigma preferred
<ul>
<li>Experience with design for manufacturability and cost optimization preferred</li>
<li>Exposure to switchgear testing and validation processes preferred </li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop engineering talent preferred</li>
<li>Prior leadership or team management experience is highly preferred</li>
