Job DescriptionAgency Summary: Applewood Centers is a private, nonprofit agency providing mental health services, social services and education to children, adolescents and families living in Cuyahoga and Lorain counties. Dedicated to addressing a variety of behavioral, emotional and learning problems, we provide a continuum of care from outpatient counseling to residential treatment. We provide residential treatment programming for youth ages 11 to 18 that have a variety of behavioral health needs such as self-injurious, risk-taking, and/or aggressive behaviors. Our team works directly with clients to address each of their individual complex needs—building upon his or her strengths. Position Summary: The Program Supervisor’s primary function is to provide oversight of leadership, programming, and supervision of all activities and program staff. Under the direction of the Director of Residential Services and in collaboration with the Clinical Program Manager, the Program Supervisor takes primary responsibility for supervising, planning, organizing, coordinating, and implementing all non-clinical activities.&nbsp; The Program Supervisor will function as a member of a multi-disciplinary team; he/she will foster and maintain professional relationships with referral sources, external providers, and family members. Responsibilities Include:

<li>Responsible for the management, leadership, and supervision of the program.&nbsp; Develops, implements, and supervises strategies and activities to meet the goals and objectives established for the program, staff, and clients.&nbsp; Reviews and updates programming, including revisions of Program Manual as needed.</li>
<li>Directly supervises Cottage Supervisors, Assistant Cottage Supervisors, Shift Supervisor, and all Treatment Specialists.&nbsp; Directly observes and supervises direct care staff in the milieu and provides teachable moments.&nbsp; Ensures programming, routines, and structure are consistently implemented.</li>
<li>Assigns and reviews work of all staff to ensure success.&nbsp; Uses supervision to provide feedback on successes and/or disciplinary action as needed.&nbsp; Ensures annual performance evaluations are completed. &nbsp;Recommends wage adjustments, promotions, and discipline as needed.</li>
<li>Ensures staff comply with Agency and departmental policy and procedure.&nbsp; Ensures staff are current with Agency trainings.</li>
<li>Interviews and recommends hiring of job applicants.</li>
<li>Responsible for on-call duties.&nbsp; Responsible for carrying, answering, and maintaining Agency cell phone.&nbsp; Provides 24-hour emergency crisis management/intervention, including coverage assistance as needed.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Responsible for staff schedule, managing call-offs, and ensuring adequate shift coverage.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Reviews and approves employee timesheets and PTO requests.</li>
<li>Ensures fiscal responsibility and budget management, including managing the use of overtime.</li>
<li>Functions as the Petty Cash custodian.</li>
<li>Ensures that environmental rounds are consistently conducted.&nbsp; Monitors the overall condition of grounds, buildings, facilities, and equipment and completes Maintenance requests as needed.&nbsp; Monitors unit to ensure that treatment environment is being maintained in accordance with licensing rules and regulations, including mental health, health, fire safety, etc.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ensures all documentation is completed per Agency standards, including MUIs, Incident Reports, separation and safety plans, evacuation drills, and bed days reports.&nbsp; Ensures completion of all program documents, including floor plans, shift reports, bedtime logs, monthly personal care progress notes, and outing supervision forms.&nbsp; Responsible for reviewing and processing incident reports.</li>
<li>Facilitates weekly team meetings and weekly leadership meetings in collaboration with the Clinical Program Manager.&nbsp; Participates in Clinical Rounds and client review meetings.</li>
<li>Actively exhibits teamwork and professionalism by example and actions in all areas of management.&nbsp; Develops and maintains collaborative and cooperative professional relationships with all levels of internal staff members, including Health Clinic, Environmental Services, Maintenance, Food Services, Clinical Services, Orchard for Boys, Support, and Agency staff in other Divisions.&nbsp; Works cooperatively with Wingspan Care Group staff.</li>
<li>In collaboration with the Clinical Program Manager, ensures all client rights and needs are met.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>

Qualifications:&nbsp;

<li>Minimum Bachelor degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field.</li>
</ul>
Experience:
<ul>
<li>3-5 years’ experience in Residential treatment.</li>
<li>3-5 years’ supervisory experience.</li>
<li>Experience working with children, adolescents, and their families.</li>
