Primary Responsibilities

Role Purpose:
Support Engineer II provides intermediate technical support primarily by phone or by ticket, but may be asked to go onsite as needed. The role is responsible for following the documented procedures for support, monitoring the ticket gateway, and maintaining ticket and phone SLA.
 
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>All time is documented daily (activities, projects, tickets) in the moment of doing said task in ticketing system</li>
<li>In progress tickets should be handed off and documented before the end of shift</li>
<li>Monitor the ticket gateway and designated queues</li>
<li>Escalate issues as documented in IT Glue</li>
<li>Resolve escalations from the Level I team as assigned</li>
<li>Document new customer findings by creating or updating articles in IT Glue</li>
<li>Assist with ISP and Vendor calls for downed services</li>
<li>Building client rapport during onsite assignments (via in person troubleshooting for relevant issues, site walk throughs, face time, etc.)</li>
<li>Travel up to 25-50% when assigned</li>
</ul>
Expectations
<ul>
<li>Maintain established call and ticket SLAs as defined by Manager</li>
<li>Maintain established CSAT score as defined by Manager</li>
<li>Timesheet for current week submitted by end of shift Friday</li>
<li>Work and document established billable hours each week</li>
<li>Available for on-call weeks and all hands on deck outages</li>
<li>Annual goals and objectives as set in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and reviewed quarterly</li>

Technical Proficiencies
<ul>
<li>Ticketing software - Incident management and allocating time to tickets being worked</li>
<li>Remoting into systems, push scripts and run action creations</li>
<li>Active Directory - Strong knowledge of how domain controllers work, group policy and security groups</li>
<li>Virtualization - Strong knowledge of VMware/Hyper-V for user incident support and operational support</li>
<li>Microsoft Windows/Servers - Strong knowledge of MS Windows, differentiate between physical/virtual servers, strong knowledge in server patching &amp; maintenance, can add new drivers to print servers</li>
<li>Networking - Strong knowledge of network troubleshooting skills, DHCP &amp; DNS, ability to identify VLAN issues, and circuit/ISP issues</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of AzureAD and Microsoft 365</li>
<li>Microsoft Servers and Network Equipment - Installation, troubleshooting and ongoing training</li>
<li>Proficiency with central repository for project documentation</li>
<li>Maintain strong knowledge of technical infrastructure (servers, network, applications, etc.) for specific client assignments</li>

We are looking to add a Seasonal Intern to the Software Engineering team for approximately 3-4 months, with the possibility of a full-time employment offer at the end of the internship period!
 
This is a hybrid position. Mile Two is a remote-friendly workplace, but this role may require some work to be performed on site, either at Mile Two headquarters downtown Dayton, OH, or at the Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Fairborn, OH.

Essential Job Functions:
<ul>
<li>This role involves the regular inspection of parts and tooling using a Keyence Wide Area CMM, as well as other measurement tools. Your responsibilities will include verifying that dimensions match CAD data and part prints, meticulously documenting your findings, and generating comprehensive reports.</li>
<li>This role includes training team members on the correct procedures for using the CMM. Additionally, it involves providing support to the Quality, Engineering, and Operation teams as required.</li>
<li>Analyze measurement data, generate reports, and assist with troubleshooting and process improvements. </li>
<li>You will be responsible for analyzing product performance data, including both warranty and plant defect information. Based on this analysis, you will develop production control plan strategies focused on key product characteristics.</li>
<li>Create incoming quality plans and drive process improvements with suppliers.</li>
</ul>
 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
<ul>
<li>A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical training or coursework in manufacturing, quality, or mechanical inspection is preferred.</li>
<li>You should have a strong understanding of GD&amp;T and be experienced in interpreting complex blueprints.</li>
<li>2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or production Quality role.</li>
<li>Hands on experience with precision inspection tools is essential, and familiarity with CMMs, 3D scanners, and probes would be a significant advantage.</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach are important.</li>
<li>Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015, IAFT 16949:2016 or similar Quality systems is beneficial.</li>
<li>Experience with PPAP and Dimensional Layout would be valuable.</li>
