Layton Services is seeking an experienced and driven Civil Construction Project Manager to lead site development and infrastructure construction projects in Newark, OH and the surrounding Columbus metro area. Key Responsibilities – Civil Project Manager: 
<ul>
<li>
Manage overall project schedules and provide weekly updates
</li>

Coordinate and lead internal and external project meetings
</li>

Oversee full project lifecycle: planning, execution, and close-out

Handle procurement, material tracking, and vendor coordination

Maintain project documentation and track change orders

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Role Overview:
 
· The role is for a Senior Estimator with a focus on custom unitized curtain wall systems (primarily architectural glass and windows) for commercial buildings.
· The company engineers, manufactures, and installs these systems in-house, with a primary focus on large-scale, high-profile projects (e.g., skyscrapers, major commercial facades).
· The team currently has two very senior members (40+ years' experience) and three junior members, with a need to bridge the experience gap.
· The company is based in Mason, OH, with an additional office in Baltimore, MD. Cleveland is a separate business unit with a different focus.
· This is a strategic, long-term hire rather than an urgent backfill.
 
 
Key Requirements:
 
· 5-10 years of direct experience in the curtain wall, glazing, or cladding industry is strongly preferred.
· Experience as an estimator in architectural glass, curtain wall, or metal panel (facade) companies is ideal.
· Candidates from general construction backgrounds may be considered if they have managed glazing or cladding packages on large projects.
· Must have strong skills in accuracy, consistency, and time management.
· Ability to train and mentor junior team members is important.
· Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present and explain estimates to customers and internal teams.
· Experience reading and interpreting architectural blueprints.
· Teamwork and collaboration are essential; the environment is highly collaborative.
· A degree is not required; relevant industry experience is more important.
· Estimator title or equivalent experience is expected.

<li>Safely operate material handling cranes with grapple/clamshell, magnets to move scrap metal and bulk materials to feed a recovery system.</li>

<li>Sort and stage scrap material according to type, grade, and processing needs.</li>

Qualifications

<li>Previous experience operating material handling cranes/excavator in a scrap recycling, construction environment.</li>
<li>Ability to operate cranes with different attachments (grapple, magnet, clamshell).</li>
<li>Strong situational awareness and commitment to safe operations.</li>
<li>Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, mostly indoor operations.</li>
<li>Mechanical aptitude to identify and report equipment issues.</li>
</ul>
Work Environment
<ul>
<li>Primarily indoor work in variable weather conditions. Some outdoor processes also.</li>
<li>Exposure to dust, noise, heavy equipment, and scrap metal.</li>
<li>Requires use of PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, hearing protection, etc.).</li>
