Your Impact
We are searching for a skilled and motivated EV Charging Field Service Technician. This key role is responsible for the onsite repair and maintenance of EV charging stations in a specific geographic region, including but not limited to site safety, electrical system maintenance/repair, site field reports, and other duties as required to properly maintain and operate the site within the contractual requirements. This role must be able to work independently with little to no supervision and will be required to work in the field under various conditions.
Core Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Perform OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades/ revisions to a broad range of equipment, ranging from Level 2 Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers to DC Fast Chargers.</li>
<li>Perform testing on equipment, including but not limited to; insulation testing (megger testing), thermal imagery, torque tests, and performance evaluations.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot system performance issues and locate/isolate ground faults.</li>
<li>Work closely with the Planning and Scheduling team to ensure maintenance schedules are adhered to and work orders are completed accurately and on time.</li>
<li>Review site manuals and drawings to ensure proper service and maintenance of equipment.</li>
<li>In fieldwork including electrical and mechanical preventative and corrective maintenance of site equipment, site field reporting, work order completion, and other work as needed.</li>
<li>Ensure that all issues at the site are documented in the work order system and are addressed in a timely manner.</li>

Core Experience

What You Will Be Doing
This role requires being out in the field on client project sites. The projects involve the installation, testing, and commissioning of a modular cooling system at sites in Texas, Idaho, Alabama, South Carolina and Ohio. This position requires flexibility to travel around the country. Travel time is approximately 70-75%. The Field Service Technician will provide responsive electrical, mechanical and automation support for chilled water systems and ancillary components through analysis, troubleshooting, remediation, implementation, commissioning and testing. As a direct point of contact for our customers, this role will drive customer satisfaction, maximize customer retention and increase profitability in a field environment without direct supervision.
Essential Functions 
<ul>
<li>Providing on hand support during hydro-testing &amp; flushing to address leaks as they develop, re-torquing flanges and mechanical connections as needed</li>
<li>Troubleshooting mechanical equipment, such as valves, and at times performing replacement</li>
<li>Perform repair welds on as needed basis</li>
<li>Familiarity with pipefitting and the ability to read and interpret piping schematics and blueprints.</li>

What We’re Looking For 
Must Have's:

Field Service Technician
Position Purpose: Provide technical support to national accounts, distributors and end users. Partner with sales to analyze customer situations and provide technical sales support and guidance to ensure that effective technical solutions are developed which fulfill the client's requirements. Provide distributor and customer equipment solution training.
Principle Accountabilities
<ul>
<li>This position is required to be knowledgeable with IPG products, features, functionalities, capabilities, and distribution channels and be capable of effectively communicating the IPG value to our customers.</li>
<li>Train customers on start-up, operation and maintenance of various pieces of packaging equipment; e.g. WAT dispensers, product protection systems, case sealers, case erectors, etc.</li>
<li>Perform on-site installations, repairs, maintenance, service tasks and conduct product demonstrations when required. Provide maintenance support and training to Distributor accounts that have their own in-house maintenance staff.</li>
<li>Establish a regular Preventive Maintenance program for existing end user accounts. Build relationships with back of house contact and gather feedback.</li>
<li>Assist in the development, definition, and documentation of Technical Sales 'best practices" including but not limited to: RFQ/RFP analysis, Technical Audit, Quarterly Review, Time Studies, Annualized Cost Saving Programs, Corporate Reporting, End User Training Programs.</li>
<li>Assist in testing and evaluating new products and custom packaging equipment. Record and report faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences.</li>
<li>Partner with sales to identify complex opportunities and appropriate solutions for new and existing clients that match their long and short-term needs and goals.</li>
<li>Provide technical guidance and expertise in client meetings regarding implementation and execution, best practices, products and features, partnerships, etc.</li>
<li>Handle technical support calls - via phone, email and website.</li>
<li>Follow established communication procedures - issue RMA's, prepare and submit work orders, expense reports, trip reports, etc.</li>
